Who we are
Scarlett Strategic Solutions is a boutique Leadership Development firm specialising in assessing, then developing and connecting executives and their goals to the 'big picture': the organisation's strategic intent.
We work with high-profile multinational clients facilitating improved leadership competencies in visioning, strategic planning, customer segmentation, and effective communication. Our coaching style workshops combine practical commercial experience with current academic models and psychometric assessment tools to bring about positive individual growth and cultural change.
What we do
Assessment
We utilise a range of world-class assessment tools to help accurately and objectively identify the specific capabilities of individuals, teams and organisations. The areas of focus through assessment are recruitment and selection, assessment for development, creation of high-performance teams, and the identification and creation of the desired organisational culture for productivity, retention, attraction, and performance uplift.
We assess talent through various data points: establishing a success profile, the desired leadership competencies for the role, and psychometric profiling and role benchmarking using PRISM, Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), and Hogan Inventories.
Leadership Development Workshops

Strategic Planning and Visioning
Our Strategic Planning expertise encompasses a six step process that takes in strategic planning, implementation and evaluation. Starting with the mission and statement of purpose, strategic planning workshops force managers to identify carefully the scope of products and services. Managers can then identify and agree the goals currently in place and the strategies currently being pursued. The organisation's goals, once committed, provide managers with the measurable performance targets that employees strive to reach. The strategic planning process encompasses an analysis of both the internal and external environment which pose both threats and opportunities which can be exploited or counteracted. From a SWOT analysis of internal and external strengths and weaknesses, strategic opportunities will become apparent, and strategic objectives emerge. Once identified, we assist you to create your strategic plan, after which implementation and review can begin.
Effective Communication
Starting with the psychology of communication, Scarlett Strategic Solutions' 'Effective communication' workshops equip participants with the essential tools to improve relationships with colleagues, team members, managers and key stakeholders. Principles of communication such as active listening, specific questioning techniques, giving and receiving feedback, and building trust and rapport are practised, as well as tips on avoiding the barriers to effective communication. In terms of 'Whole Brain' communication, each quadrant has its own language which is the product of its thinking preferences. Whole Brain® communication provides a framework for listening and speaking to others. It enables us to 'hear' what others are saying even when they are speaking in a different language, and enables you to present your ideas in your listener's preferred language. The result: the lines of communication are opened up.
Building and Leading High Performance Teams
In team building, organisational team members interact to learn how each member thinks and works. With self-awareness and understanding of each team member's thinking preferences and individual styles, team cohesion can be created and team and individual goals achieved. How our programs work
To simplify the learning for your team members we structure our programs into four consecutive modules.
Pre-work Module
Profile each participant individually, and as a group, to determine individual thinking styles.
Module One: 1-day Emotional Intelligence / HBDI Individual and Team Workshop
Self-awareness assessment tool to ascertain individual strengths and areas for development. Develop and explore strategies for a team to operate as a high performing team with common agreed goals and objectives, and to address specific client workplace situations.
Module Two: 1-day Strategic Planning / Communication / Customer Centricity Workshop
Explore the impact of individual communication styles, how to improve communication with internal and external customers, and to develop and ensure clear, open and honest communication.
Module Three: Two half-day small group workshops
Assist and mentor team members with similar low focus areas to achieve leadership development objectives.

Janey Francis
As a brand strategist and innovation advocate, Janey's expertise for organisations in various sectors is in developing leadership potential through collaboratively working with key stakeholders, to develop excellence in strategic planning, change and innovation, and customer orientation. Janey's dynamic and interactive style creates executive ownership and engagement through the application of various diagnostic tools and models. As a result, her clients experience positive cultural change through improved organisational communication, and customer centricity.
To develop change leadership skills and strategic thinking, Janey incorporates the Hermann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), a registered quantitative psychometric self-awareness tool which enables 'whole brain thinking' in many applications: strategic planning, team building, change leadership, creative problem solving, communication and productivity. Janey's leadership programs interweave the HBDI assessment tool to create awareness and shift mindsets in order to facilitate executive alignment to organisational goals.
Janey commenced consulting in 2006 after tenure at the Monash University Australian Centre for Retail Studies (ACRS) as a Program Director, capitalising on her extensive 20-year senior management experience in the commercial sector, both internationally and in Australia, in Strategic Brand Management and Marketing Management for global brands.
Janey also consults as a Program Director to various Australian Institutes of Business, responsible for the content, creation and delivery of all Strategic Planning, Customer Orientation, and Change Management contextualised senior leadership development programs. Her public programs are attended by senior delegates from a host of large legal, banking, pharmaceutical and FMCG organisations, as well as from the retail and manufacturing sector.
Janey holds multiple qualifications, both academic and professional. In addition to her undergraduate degree in law and graduate diploma in linguistics and semiotics, Janey also earned a Post Graduate Diploma of Marketing, where she majored in 'Buyer Behaviour'. She is also a certified practitioner for HBDI, and applies the Whole Brain Thinking Model to improve organisational communication, innovation and positive cultural change.
As a result of her wealth of experience internationally and locally in Strategic Brand and Marketing Management and her application of Whole Brain Thinking to leadership development, Janey has the ability to link core leadership capabilities such as setting vision and strategy, driving innovation and creating a customer orientation, to organisational goals and business outcomes.
